I appreciate the relationship that is created between these two images. There is a nice juxtaposition between this darker, nighttime piece and the innocuous, sunnier image; it makes me think of potential narratives between the two people.
I like the passing of time expressed in the bottom piece. In one layer, the figure's back is to us, however, in another layer the figure is facing us. A viewer can really sense that the figure is in a spinning motion. Also, the setting (the sunny day and the green grass) make this picture feel a little nostalgic. Overall, I think it is very effective.
Although these are clearly two different people, I think the photos together clearly demonstrate how differing our actions can be from day to night. I think it would be hard to appreciate one without the other, so it was a splendid idea to use the two in unison.
Also, wonderful displays of color in both instances.

I like how the light seems to be more visible than the other arts. It gives it emphasis. It's cool because the lighter is what lights the cigarette.
