I think it's really neat that the layers are not very distinctive... It makes it plausible that this exists normally, but then you're complicating it by making it something that is impossible to exist in real space. This is from our campus, right? I appreciate the ambiguity... Unless it's not of our campus, in which case, it is still really nice. I feel like batman lives here.
This image looks almost like an abstract painting. I see what might be the tail lights of cars- but the image is so obscured I am not sure. I think this is really effective in showing a sense of time in the image.
I really like this picture -- at my first glance I didn't know what to make of it, but the more I looked at it the more I enjoyed the experience. This photograph is very strong at pulling the viewer in because of its dark and mysterious qualities. I am very interested to know what processes you journeyed through to achieve the final product here. Excellent work!
At first glance I thought this was a simply a photo of the inside of a theater. I agree with the afformentioned subtlety of the layers, and I like that viewers have to take some time with the photo to figure out exactly what it is and how they feel about it.
i think this photo is my favorite so far, i really like how you have to reallly look closely to figure out what you are looking at.The contrast between the dark areas and the bright primary colored lights looks really great. And i agree it does look like a painting.
This might be my favorite of the pictures. At first glance I was not even sure if motion was take place. Then after further scrutiny I started seeing how the different lights were moving. I was also confused by what is even happening in the upper portion of the frame. Very beautiful picture.

ReplyDeleteThe layers are definitely not obvious enough, however there is a definite mood to this picture.
