  1. The way you layered your images so the motion is contained to the top half of the crowd is really impressive. I like how the movement of the cymbals creates a rhythm, which relates really well to the subject of the piece.

  2. This image is very unique. It seems like the photographer went to great lengths to obtain this picture. Like the person about me said, the rhythm of the cymbals is effective. Also, although the cropping is very much horizontal- the composition still works and moves a viewer's eye around the whole piece.

  3. This is very subtle, which I like. From afar it's not obvious, just the different direction of the cymbals gives it away. That movement is really lovely.

  4. I agree with allison that the artist's work is very subtle. It is intriguing that the closer you look at the image the more movement you can detect but the details of face and clothing are so crisp. I believe a tripod was used to keep the camera steady and I think that this was a great decision because of the details and clarity of the image it helped to capture.

  5. This picture works very well. Its all about the location and costumes. Every aspect of the photo is well thought out. More so than any other image this creates movement through an image. Even without the layers this still would have been a good image. But the multiple cymbals makes this something more.

  6. I really like this picture and agree with a lot of the other comments, but I would be curious to see what it looks like with the opacity altered on the layers. I'm not sure if that would compromise the crisp image and dynamic rhythm, but it may help emphasis the motion and time elapse. Very cool image!

  7. My favorite thing about this picture is that at some points I can establish one persons cymbal from another. It emphasizes the idea that all of the players in the line are the parts that add up to make the whole.

  8. i like how you kind of have to do a double take to really see the motion in this photo, but when you see it, it's really astounding!

  9. When i look at this picture I like trying to guess the rhythm of what they're playing. I also like how light hitting the cymbals contributes to this photo's motion.
