Zach Wiegmann - Snare Drum Chronophotograhpy

  1. I really enjoy this picture - especially the fact that the viewer is able
to physically see the timing of the snare drum attack. I find the
angles of the drumsticks particularly intriguing and had fun trying to
imagine which way they were falling/rising. The way you have framed
this also emphasizes the shadow - a nice touch. Good Job!

  2. I like everything about this picture except the lighting. The drum sticks look very cool, but I think it would be a more powerful image if there was sufficient lighting to allow a full range of colors rather than an orange glow.

  3. I think the lighting might actually be my favorite part of this photo. The fact that everything blends into a faded orange (including the gold drum) forced me to focus more on the movement of the drumsticks.

  4. I don't mind the color. It almost looks like you applied an orange filter and maybe you did. Good work. Make another one but I really want to see thousands of drumsticks. That would be wicked.

  5. I think this photo and its lighting looks cool. The way that you have framed yourself gives me a sense of duality in the photo maybe a competition between you and your shadow
